Record Breaking 2012 Sale
The Booroomooka Angus Stud hit new highs at it's Annual On Property Bull Sale held on Friday 17th August. Lot 13 - Booroomooka Frankel F510 broke many records selling for $65,000 with Booroomooka retaining a semen interest. After the sale ,The successful bidder - Dick Whale from Independent Breeding Services P/L from Wangaratta, Victoria disclosed that he was representing a syndicate of leading Australian Angus Studs - Dulverton, Glenavon, Knowla, Wattletop and Witherswood.
Second top priced Bull was Lot 24 selling for $26,000 to Pee Dee Creek Angus at Bellbrook. Volume buyers included Jim Nivison from Walcha and The Collins Family from King Island, who both purchased 10 bulls each. It took less than 3 hours, to sell 210 bulls (100% clearance) to gross over $1.52 million. Twenty bulls sold for $10,000 or more and 60 bulls sold from $3,000 to $5,000.
