2007: Booroomooka Angus Stud wins Top Award

Sinclair and Joanna Munro proudly accepted an award won by Booroomooka Angus Stud at the recent Certified Australian Angus Beef Award Dinner held at Sydney Showgrounds.

The quality award was for Best Overall Performance by the progeny of a single sire for CAAB. Sinclair Munro said it was pleasing to see that the progeny of Booroomooka Whithorn W267 performed so well for weight gain, marbling and yield. Booroomooka Whithorn W267 is a son of Future Direction out of Booroomooka Takeda T66. His progeny performance reflected his EBV’s that are in the top 5% of the breed for IMF% (+1.7), above breed average for growth (+76) and in the top 1% of the breed for EMA (+5.5).

Sinclair said that two full ET brothers of W267 will be sold at this years Booroomooka Bull Sale to be held on Friday 10th August.
